Free Remote Access Softwares

Remote desktop software, often called remote access software or remote control software, allows you to remotely control one computer from another. By remote control means you can take over the mouse and keyboard and use the computer you've connected to just like your own.

Remotely accessing a computer requires that a piece of software be installed on the computer you want to connect to, called the host. Once that's done, another computer or device with the right credentials, called the client, can connect to the host and control it.

Free Remote Access Software - AeroAdmin

AeroAdmin

AeroAdmin is probably the easiest program to use for free remote access. There are hardly any settings, and everything is quick and to the point, which is perfect for spontaneous support.

Host Side

AeroAdmin looks a lot like the TeamViewer program that tops this list. Just open the portable program and share the ID with someone else. The ID is how the client computer will know how to connect to the host.

Client Side

The client PC just needs to run the same AeroAdmin program and enter the ID into their program. You can choose View only or Remote Control before you connect, and then just select Connect to request remote control.

When the host computer confirms the connection, you can start controlling the computer, sharing clipboard text, and transferring files.

Free Remote Access Software - Ammyy Admin

Ammyy Admin

Ammyy Admin is a completely portable remote access program that's extremely simple to setup. It works by connecting one computer to another via an ID supplied by the program.

Host Side

Run the Ammyy Admin software on the computer that you'll be accessing. There isn't any installation, so you can get started pretty quickly. The file is only 700 KB in size, so it also downloads fast.

From the menu called Ammyy, you can choose Service and then install the Ammyy Admin service so you can access the PC without having to manually run the program.

You can also just run the program and take note of the ID number so the client can easily connect.

Client Side

To connect to the Ammyy Admin host computer, just launch the portable program and enter the ID of the other computer. The ID is shown on the host computer's Ammyy Admin program.

Now you can do things like use the host PCs clipboard, voice chat, and transfer files to and from the computers.

Only Windows computers are supported as hosts and clients.

Free Remote Access Software - Remote Utilities

Remote Utilities

Remote Utilities is a free remote access program with great features. It works by pairing two remote computers together with what they call an "Internet ID." You can control a total of 10 PCs with Remote Utilities.

Host Side

Install a portion of Remote Utilities called Host on a Windows PC to have permanent access to it. You also have the option to just run Agent, which provides spontaneous support without installing anything - it can even be launched from a flash drive.

The host computer is given an Internet ID that they must share so a client can make a connection.

Client Side

The Viewer program is used to connect to the host or agent software.

The Viewer can be downloaded on its own or in the Viewer + Host combo file. You can also download a portable version of the Viewer if you'd rather not install anything.

Connecting the Viewer to the Host or Agent is done without any router changes like port forwarding, making setup very easy. The client just needs to enter the Internet ID number and password.

There are also client applications that can be downloaded for free for iOS and Android users.

Different modules can be used from the viewer so you can actually access a computer remotely without even viewing the screen, though screen-viewing is definitely Remote Utilities' main feature.

Here are some of the modules Remote Utilities allows: A remote task manager, file transfer, power control for remote rebooting or WOL, remote terminal (access to Command Prompt), remote file launcher, system information manager, text chat, remote registry access, and remote webcam viewing.

In addition to these features, Remote Utilities also supports remote printing and viewing multiple monitors.

Free Remote Access Software - TeamViewer

TeamViewer

TeamViewer is easily the best free remote access software. There are tons of features, which is always great, but it's also extremely easy to install. No changes to router or firewall configurations are needed.

With support for video, voice-only, and text chat, TeamViewer also allows file transfers, supports wake-on-LAN (WOL), and can even remotely reboot a PC into Safe Mode and then reconnect automatically.

Host Side

The computer you want to connect to with TeamViewer can be a Windows, Mac, or Linux computer.

A full, installable version of TeamViewer is one option here, and is probably the safe bet if you're not sure what to do. A portable version, called TeamViewer QuickSupport, is a great choice if the computer you want to remote control will only need to be accessed once or if installing software on it isn't possible. The third option, TeamViewer Host, is the best choice if you'll be regularly connecting to this computer.

Client Side

TeamViewer has a number of options for connecting to the computer you want to control.

Installable and portable programs are available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, as well as mobile apps for iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and Windows 8. You can even use your phone or tablet to connect to your remotely controlled computers while on the go.

TeamViewer also lets you also use a web browser to remotely access a computer.

A number of other features are also included, like the ability to share a single application window with someone else (instead of the whole desktop) and the option to print remote files to a local printer.

M.G University Degree Online Registration 2014-15

M.G University Degree Online Registration 2014-15/UG CAP 2014-15 at www.mgu.ac.in. MG University UG degree online registration 2014-15 through single window centralized allotment process (CAP). The University has invited applications from candidates for their under graduate programmes in its affiliated and constituent colleges for the current academic year.

Mahatma Gandhi University is one of the most reputed University in India has invited applications from candidates for their degree programmes which are being conducted at various colleges for the academic year 2014-15.

Centralized Allotment Process (CAP)

CAP is an internet based single window system to give allotments to the various academic programmes offered by the Affiliated colleges and Constituent colleges based on the options submitted by the candidates. The candidates need to register only one application for a course for opting any number of college/course combinations based on their eligibility. If a candidate submits more than one application for the same academic programme his/her candidature is liable to be cancelled. It is a simple and transparent process of allotment which gives the candidate opportunity to exercise his/her options of his/her choice conveniently in the order of his/her preference. The allotments will be strictly based on the options exercised, the rank obtained and eligible reservations of the candidate.

How to Apply:

There is only a single application form for applying for admission to the U.G. Degree Programmes in various affiliated colleges. If a candidate submits more than one application his/her candidature is liable to be cancelled.

Instructions to the Candidates
1) While registering, category (SC/ST or Others) once selected cannot be altered in any further stage of the process.

2) Payment can be made only through designated branches of SBT.

3) The Candidates should not send any document to the University. Verification of documents will be done by the colleges concerned at the time of admission.

4) Once the initial registration is made, candidate shall note down application number.

7) No memo will be sent by post from university office in any case.

8) Verify your personal as well as academic details carefully before final submission.

9) Fake registration by any person / institution will be viewed seriously and will be liable for punitive action.

Steps for Registering Online:

1. The candidate should create an account by giving the required personal details in the account creation page http://220.226.4.16/mguugcap2013/account.jsp and create a password for future login. The password must be either alphabets, numbers or special characters or a combination of all these having a minimum length of six characters. The password created by the candidate should not be revealed to others who may misuse it. This may result in tampering of the options and the University will not be responsible for any such eventuality.

2. Generate a Chalan print out. The Chalan bears an ‘Application number’. The application number will have to be remembered by the candidate for all future online and offline operations.

3. Approach the nearest SBT branch enlisted in the CAP portal along with the Chalan print out and the remit the required fee.

4. Collect the Chalan copy bearing the seal from bank (Student copy and University copy). Only after completing this step, will the Application Number and password get activated.

5. Go to the login Panel in MGU CAP Web Portal and Use the activated Application Number as user name and previously used password for Login.

6. Fill the Application form with the remaining personal details, academic eligibility and then choose his/her priority wise college/course options.

7. Verify with the relevant documents and confirm the details entered online.

8. On successful final submission of the above the candidate will be able to generate the Print out of the application form.

Display and Design

Polytechnic Colleges in the Kerala state provide diploma education through 43 Government Polytechnic Colleges, 6 Government Aided Polytechnic Colleges and 10 Self Financing Polytechnic Colleges. 29 Diploma Programmes in Engineering/Technology and Commercial Practice/Management are conducted in these Polytechnic Colleges. Special Diploma batches for the Hearing Impaired students are also conducted at three Polytechnics namely Kerala Govt. Polytechnic College Kozhikode, Govt. Single Window System for Online Polytechnic Admission

Polytechnic Admission process is automated and conducted through a web based single window system. The selection of candidates to Polytechnic colleges will be done district wise. The submission of applications will be Online. Candidates can use single application for submitting applications for any number of districts.

There are separate applications for Diploma admission 2014-15 in the following cases:

1) Application for regular seats in Government/Government Aided Programmes/Government seats in Self Financing Programmes/Special batch of Hearing Impaired (HI).
2) Application for the management seats under Aided programmes to be submitted at respective Polytechnics.
3) Applications under NCC quota.
4) Applications under Sports quota.

Prospectus & Submission of Applications

The prospectus will be available for free download from the website “www.polyadmission.org” in English and Malayalam languages. The candidates will be required to submit their applications online in the web site using the link “ONLINE SUBMISSION” available in the web site.

For the benefit of candidates who do not have access to Internet facility, Help Desks will be established in all the Polytechnic Colleges. Candidates can make use of this facility free of cost. After completing the relevant entries, the Online Application form should be submitted using the link “SUBMIT”. Here the candidate will be issued an Application Number. The Application Number should be noted for further reference.

Candidates can take the Print out of their application using the link “PRINT APPLICATION”. The application thus printed will have the entries as submitted online by the candidate and will bear the allotted Application Number. The candidate should submit the printed application signed by candidate and parent/guardian at any Government/Aided Polytechnic Colleges in the state, remitting the required fee before the last date fixed for the submission of application.

Application Fee

The application fee shall be Rs. 100/- per district. For scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe candidates, it shall be Rs.50/-. If a candidate submits application for more than one district, he will have to remit additional fee at the rate of Rs. 100 for each district. (Rs. 50 each for SC/ST candidates). Candidates should remit required fee to the Principal of the Polytechnic College where he/she submits the Application Form. The required fee shall be printed in the application form.

Candidates will be issued a Registration Number from the Polytechnic College receiving the application form. Candidates can verify the status of their application from the web site using the Application number, Registration Number and Date of Birth. Candidates will not be permitted to alter the entries made in the application. The allotment details will be published in the website www.polyadmission.org.

Kerala University Admission 2014 Online Registration

Online registration for admission to the first degree programme under Choice Based Credit and Semester (CBCS) system, and career related first degree programme in the colleges affiliated to the University of Kerala and centres of the University for the academic year 2014-2015 started.

Prospectus for admission to the First Degree Programme [FDP] Under Choice Based Credit and Semester (CBCS) system and Career-related First Degree Programme in Government/Aided /Self Financing Affiliated Colleges/University institutes of Technology (UIT) for the academic year 2014-2015, as approved by the University of Kerala, is published. The Choice Based Credit and Semester system was introduced in the University of Kerala from the academic year 2010 onwards and all the Undergraduate courses except BPEd & BFA are known as First Degree Programmes. From the academic year 2012-2013 onwards, the admission to the First Degree Programme under CBCS system in the Arts and Science Colleges affiliated to the University of Kerala and Centres of the University were made on the basis of Online Centralized Allotment. The Online allotment process will provide the candidates, opportunity of obtaining admission to any of the Colleges of the University / Centres and to any of the programmes of his/her choice on the basis of merit.

Any candidate who desires to obtain admission under the University of Kerala for the First Degree Programme should compulsorily register online before the closure of registration, irrespective of the category (General /SEBC/ BPL/ SC/ST/ Community /Management / Candidates from Union Territory of Lakshadweep/Jammu and Kashmir/Tamil Linguistic Minority/Inmates of Government Children’s Home / Persons with disabilities/ widows /wards of Armed Forces Personnel, killed or disabled in action during peace time/ Sports etc.) to which he/she belongs.

The candidates who wish to apply for a First Degree Programme in a Self-financing College which do not participate in the online Centralised Allotment Process shall also register online before the closure of registration.

Candidates seeking admission on passing SAY examination during the current Academic Year can register online before the Supplementary allotment. They will be considered in the Supplementary allotment.

Kerala Plus One Admission 2014 Online Registration

Kerala Plus One Admission 2014-2015: Register Online from 26 May 2014

Students will be able to use the website www.hscap.kerala.gov.in from May 26 onwards to register online, through the single window system admission process, for admission to Kerala Plus One in government and aided schools in this academic year 2014-2015.

Admission fee

Once the online registration is complete, the student must take a printout of the application form and mark their signature in the designated spot, along with that of their guardian’s. The candidate must handover this form along with other documents to the principal of a nearby government or aided school for verification. An admission fee of Rs.25 must be paid then. The last date to register online and to submit applications for verification is June 12.

Prospectus

For those unable to register online, arrangements have been made to distribute the prospectus and application form from all government and aided schools from the first week of June.

Plus One Admission in Sports Quota

The Plus One admission in sports quota from the district for the 2014-15 academic year will be held from May 26 to June 5, district sports council authorities have said. Students with sporting credentials may register online on the website of the Kerala State Sports Council.

After registration, applicants should approach the district sports council office for certificate verification with a printout of the application form. Students may register through the single-window system using the sports register number given in the scorecard issued from the council after the certificate verification. They may also approach a higher secondary school of their choice directly to register.

The single-window registration can be made from May 26. The first phase of sports quota allotment will be on June 24 and the last and final phase, on June 30. Students may take admission at the school of their choice immediately after they get the allotment.
